Bangkok / Hua Hin 2009

Hua Hin town

This 5 Days tour is relaxing and enjoyable with the 1st and last day in Bangkok and the remainder 3 days in Hua Hin. In between the journey from the Capital to Hua Hin town ( and return ) we visited many interesting places like Amphawa floating market, Kao Wang Summer Palace, The Nativity of our Lady Catherdral a 100 years old Church and many others. An eye opener was the Unseen Railway Market where the stalls on the track would unpack within minutes for the train to pass through. Needless to say, business resumed after that. It's amazing!

Hua Hin is a small and quiet town with its beautiful and clean beaches. The town hotel we stayed is surrounded by local kampong houses. We paid another 800 baht ( S$34 ) for the optional programmes offered by our guide. Besides bringing us to Huey Mongkol Temple and Mount Chopstick, we had a 2 hours traditional Thai massage and an elephant ride at the safari park. Talking about value for money.

We read from the web that there is a sunflower plantation in Huey Mongkol Temple and were totally disappointed when we discovered that there isn't any. "Come back in December, that's the season" they said. Suckz!!!! We couldn't believe the news when our tour guide told us that he found an alternative small plantation while on our way back to Bangkok. It's really a blessing to have our wishes fulfilled especially for Margaret.Sunflower rawkz!!!
