Old and new

The weekend is here again and it's gonna be a busy one. Gonna buy a new 46 inches television to replace the existing 12 years old malfunctioned 29 inches TV set. Not only that, I have to discard the 16 years old display TV New Zealand pine cabinet, It is still in very good condition but it don't blend in with my post modern layout in my living room. Anyone who is interested, please contact me.

Next, my water closet (wc) in my kitchen toilet is not functioning well. Have to look out for a new one and get the plumber to replace it. Besides, we have to go down to Queenstown to visit Roger at noon tomorrow. And finally, our massage appointment at 6 pm prior to our dinner at Thomson. Phew! you can imagine....

3rd Prize

My new colleague's car plate number 2068 came out in the 3rd prize of the evening 4D draw. Last evening, he promised to give us a big treat should the number appear this evening. The beautiful thing is that I placed a $5 bet on it too. Mama mia!!! I believe it must be the combined blessing from LP Khoon and my late parents during this Qing Ming period.

I should receive $2 450 as advised by the prize calculator on this winning. My wife would share my joy with a $1 000 bonus from me. I am not a greedy person but my gut feeling tells me that there is more to come. The best is yet to be. Om.........

New project again?

When a company owes you 3 months of incentive / variable bonus, it is only logical to call it a day and move on. Guess that's the way to cut loss for the longer you stay, the more you tends to lose.  Here I am, after a week in a new company with an on-going project. Pray that it's smooth sailing no doubt the work is behind schedule for months. Aiyoh! so sway. (I mean unlucky lah.)

North Eastern Thailand Ban Rai Temple

Wat Ban Rai is out of our iternery and we arranged with our tour guide Mr Boo for this additional programme. Our group of six compensated his company 1 500 baht. It's not the money but the Revered monk Luang Phor Khoon Parisuttho. We were told that he has reached the level of a living Saint.
Though we reached there at 10 am and waited for an hour to have his blessing. He is 89 years old come 4 October 2012 and continues to bless the devotees twice a day at 11 am and 4 pm. Sadly, no photograph and video are allowed during his service.
I can feel the chill when he stepped into the prayer hall and no words can describe my seeing him in person. Old and frail but definitely larger than life. I cannot bargain for more than to recieve blessing from Luang Phor Khoon Parisuttho himself.
I believe in fate and going there was like a calling. Still, I have to thank Mr Boo, our Thai driver, my wife and the 4 buddies for making my wish came true.

More photographs below:

Our offerings to the monk on duty and prayers to the departed souls.

Holy water to wash your face and hands.

Waiting for Luang Phor Khoon Parisuttho at the Prayer Hall.
