Needless to say, February 29 is always a special day. For those born on this day, it is a previlege to celebrate their birthday on February 28 & 29 once every four years. On a normal year, February 28 takes precedence. A little confused? Why bother? Relax and enjoy the last hour of February 29 2012.......

Back from 220 BC

I am alive and kicking. Most of you must be thinking what has happened to me since this blog has been quiet for the past 10 days or so. Work wise, it's a little busy and I have donated quite a number of overtime hours to the project. Still, my immediate foreign talent Boss isn't happy. Culture shock!

Cao Cao, Liu Bei, Guan Yu, Zhang Fei, Sun Quan, Zhuge Liang and many many others.You would not believe that I finished watching the 47 episodes of Romance of the Three Kingdoms. Tiring eyes but many times I was brought back to their era i.e. 2200 years ago or 220 BC. So much to learn and they can be applied to our daily lives. Fancy me watching this series for the third time? Probably, but not so soon. Need to digest.

No good news

Bad bad news. Arsenal got thrashed by AC Milan by four goals to nil. This team is going nowhere. Tonight they are playing against Sunderland in the FA Cup quarter-final. A revamp is needed should they fail to get through to the next round. Come on Gunners!!!

Back in Singapore. Let's leave Yaw Shin Leong alone. Even if he had committed adultery but that does not warrant a death penalty. It is a sin not a crime. Moreover, it takes two hands to clap. What's more it's mere allegation Expelled by WP and losing his seat in Hougang are punishment enough for remaining silent. Let's live and let live.

Bored

OMG! You wouldn't believe I spent my Valentine's Day & Night at my workplace. Dinner was a packet of mee goreng and a cup of fruit juice. It's not only poor me but my poor wife too... home alone. By the time I reached home, it was near 11 pm.

First it was Whitney Houston, followed by Chinese Diva Fong Fei Fei. Both have ascended to heaven. Rest in peace. Okay, I hardly listened to Chinese songs during my younger days. But when I playback those oldies in the youtube, they brought me back to the late 70s era. Yes, the O-piang Chinese version of 'More than I can say' reminds me of bell bottom pants I once wore. I was a cheena pok ocassionally. Hehe...

Koo's leaving

An advance farewell lunch for Koo as he is leaving us at the end of this week. We wish him all the best in his new project. Well, he is welcome to visit us at his convenience. So long...

Time flies and CNY is over. But the goodies remain on the table. Simply too much. Abundance.

Gone are the atmosphere and home decorations are down. Life is back to normal. Love is in the air and the youngsters will be celebrating Valentine's Day come next Tuesday. Roses are red, violets are blue ..........

A not-so-noisy gathering

Thank you Lee Hoon for initiating and Pipi for organising this year lo-hei @ Bee Heong Restaurant Telok Ayer Street. Of course, the 2 lao-da Winston and Tuah Kiat together with our beautiful Christina were there too. This year gathering was a bit quiet for Pipi invited an ex-colleague of theirs Quee Lan along. She was foreign to a few of us but a nice and friendly lady. Whatever, the crazy atmosphere wasn't there and we called it a night at 10 pm. Probably it was also the Toto $10 million Draw didn't favor us on that night. To the Singapore Pools, we say 'hopelessly devoted to you......'

A correction

A correction on my last blog. Thaipusam falls on the full moon of the Tamil month of Thai i.e. 7 February 2012 instead. A misprint on my calendar and I had to verify on the Hindu web page. I should be there to join in the celebration.

February 2012

January 2012 has ended but not the Lunar New Year celebrations. Yuan Xiao Jie is on 6 Feb 2012 Monday. For the Hindus, tomorrow is Thaipusam. Love is in the air and couples celebrate Valentine Day on 14 Feb 2012. What else do we have? Oh yes! It's a leap year and we might as well find something to celebrate on 29 Feb 2012.
Meantime, the Win Team (ex HHG Gang) awaits Friday evening for their Dragon 2012 Big Bang Party. Another crazy bunch of good, loving people that tear down places wherever they go. And that includes the Indian Restaurant @ Little India two years ago. Talking about guts. LOL.
