Mid-Autumn Festival 2012

Happy Mid-Autumn Festival 2012. Cheers!

Autumn in Singapore? Then why are we celebrating? It's a Chinese / Religious Festival that is brought here by our ancestor associating with Chang'e and the moon, mooncake and lantern. It is also known as the Mooncake Festival. For the record, it is not a public holiday here in Singapore.

Clear your leave!!!

Double confirm. I'll have to clear four and a half days leave by end of this year or else they will be forfeited. Someone out there is happy with this news and she is none other than my wife Margaret. Not to keep you guessing why......... we are going for a short holiday with these days' leave. And the headache begins..... WHERE???

All the places we enquire are fully booked or damn bloody costly. We have to control our budget for 2013 Europe trip awaits. Hmm.... will announce once we firm up our vacation.

28th Wedding Anniversary

It's our 28th Wedding Anniversary. Me and Margaret are a simple couple simply happy with all things simple. We would like to thank the One above for his blessing and may we have many more  Happy Anniversary to celebrate. Cheers!

The buzz is back with Formula 1 Singapore 2012. To be honest, I am still figuring it out how the race is won. Yes, this is the 5th year Singapore is hosting but I can't recall how I followed the race previously. Whatever, I am glad that Singapore has been rewarded to host for the next 5 years. Congrats!

In fact, I am more excited on my favourite football club Arsenal playing away to Manchester City this evening. The team is interesting this season with the new players Poloski, Cazorla and Giroud and those coming back from injury. There is a good chance that they would gun down City. Make my day, Gunners!!!!

Huh?

Just had dinner with Winston, Neo and Lee Hoon last evening. The ramen place was noisy and many times I couldn't catch what they were talking. Or am I getting old and loosing my hearing? After dinner we proceeded to Coffee Club at level 3 Raffles City. I was relieved that my hearing was perfect. But I must admit that I could not recall names of people, place and company at times. Neo cautioned me that that's an early sign of dementia. I hope not and it's scary to think of it.

Ciao!

The last day of Lunar 7th Month or the Hungry Ghost Festival 2012. Can't ask for more as everyone is healthy and reasonably happy for the past year. Wish to have another peaceful year ahead. For those who are not in the best of health, we pray that you recover soonest possbile. Om.............

Downgrade

We are not concerned, neither does it bother us whether our children stay with us or not in the near future. But I worry that they are going to have a hard time buying a unit of their own. Worst, if they are not earning good money, it may take them 2 generations to service their housing loan.

Me and Margaret need a unit of considerable / reasonable size for our old age. As such, our present house is definitely too big for us to live and maintain. Unless our children got married and have their own house, we shall downgrade. Let's wait and see.

A dream

I have a dream, not exactly a new dream but a beautiful one to share with my wife. Many years ago, I dare not dream of it because it's beyond my reach. Everything me and Margaret did was family first especially on our two kids. It's high time we pamper ourselves with a little luxury on our lifestyle.

We should be travelling to Central Europe somewhere Spring 2013. Mama mia! We are talking about Rome, Milan, Venice and a good chance on a few cities outside Italy. As a Buddhist, I would be proud to bring my Catholic wife to Vatican along the way. It's Kit Kat time, a BREAK from those years of China holiday.

Let's turn this dream into reality. Hopefully come Spring next year, we would be able to blog and post our beautiful pictures here. Ciao!!!!
