I lost my house keys

It's quite sickening that I lost my house keys while on my way to work this morning. Did I left them at the Seven Eleven, coffee shop or at the bus stop? Damn it! Guess age is catching up and I tends to forget things easily. Maybe I was pre-occupied with the work ahead. Whatever, I do know my pay went into my account early this morning. Are we talking about memory lapse? Haha...

Dreaming..... yes we are dreaming....... of holidays. The last time me and Margaret had an overseas vacation was in March 2008. We deserve a break. Cebu in the Philipines? Why not..... but it's not wise to pay $900+ per person for a 5 days trip there. North East China Harbin, Shen Yang etc. There is a promotion and the price is right but we detest the transit flight at Shanghai. OMG! China again. Definitely for it's value for money except that it's summer time now. Understand Nanning region is not as hot. Maybe we should consider going there unless..........

Nothing is fair

I simply love the above. Very funny and adorable. Life is never fair and I have to accept that sometimes I win and sometimes I lose. The lucky thing is that i can afford to lose in a number of things. I tried to be friendly and kind to people I am associated with but they take my kindness as weakness and take advantage of it. Argh....... there is no difference in this guy, that guy or the other guy. I realise that I have to be hard, thick skin and nasty in dealing with these rascals. Anyway, it's more peaceful to be alone. Somehow there will still be gossips but why bother......

Thai food promotion

Haha..... I left my office before sunset these 2 days. Feeling kind of strange and lost. I forgot how I spent my evening at home after all these nights at my workplace. In fact, I went shopping with Margaret at Bugis Junction last evening. What we enjoyed most was the dinner promotion at Jerk Thai Restaurant. Tom yam soup, sambal kangkong, green curry chicken, papaya salad, crab meat omelette, rice and tapioca dessert. All these for $19.80 Phew! Hot spicy stuff. Don't be disappointed should you find the dishes come in small portion. But it should be enough for two. To us, it's a good deal lah.

100th Day

We are required to observe the 100th day of the passing away of my late mother on this coming Saturday 25 July 2009. Due to my workload, I have decided to go and pay my respect to her on Sunday instead. Recently, Margaret dreamt of her and was unable to recall what she had said to her. Knowing her well, my mom would have blessed all her children, grandchildren and loved ones. Thank you mom for all your love, warm and blessing. Still missing you.

Bienvenue Monsieur!

It's a Saturday morning and yet I wake up earlier than usual. Nothing much to look forward to and worst.... it's the close season of the English Premier League. Mm......... there's a New Kid in town and he is replacing our out-going Boss. Everyone is busy welcoming him. I have yet to shake his hand but I believe he is aware of my existence there. Meantime, Bienvenue Monsieur!

Life or lie?

I couldn't believe that I am still working late into darkness. Maybe the nature of my work requires me to be so. If ever I have nothing much to do, it means that it's high time for me to look for a new job.
Okay, I miss those gatherings with my childhood friends and ex-colleagues. Sad to say, the last time I chat with them was at my late mother's wake. Shit! Need to find some time and put in an effort to arrange meeting them again. To all you lovely people out there, please do keep in touch thru sms and emails. A forwarded sms or emails also can lah. Hope to see all of you soon. Cheers!

Have a break

Everyone is having a break. Patrick is in China, Guillaume in Java and Bali and Brandon in Cebu. Gosh! I long to visit these places. I can't wait for Margaret's knee to recover fully so that we can resume our overseas holidays again. Udit, my Thai friend recommended Sukothai. ( I hope I get the spelling right ) . I have 1001 places in mind and the list goes on and on. Let's put words into action...... how I wish........ you bet........

Cool the damn thing down! A few more staff had been told that their services were no longer required. Sad but there's nothing we can do. When will this stop? No point making wild guesses but I do know that there's an expiry date tag on the remainders. Que sera sera......

Freshman Orientation Camp

Fyn is in NUS campus since yesterday and will be back on Thursday evening. She is there for the Freshman Orientation Camp. As she is those homely type, I am sure she will miss home, her bedroom, bed, pillows, comforter, air-con, etc. Well, we pray that she is comfortable and enjoy socialising with new friends there. All the best and hope to see her smiling when she returns. Take care my daughter.

What's the buzz.... 4 Jul 2009

Phew!!! It's a disaster nearly happened and thank God that it ended well. I am sorry that I'll have to keep you guessing for the incident is best forgotten. Like what they say, do not wash dirty linen in the open. Move on man, let's move on.

Our deepest condolences to Choy Fong and family for the passing away of her mother-in-law.

Back to work

It's back to work for Margaret after a 3 week absence. She excitedly got up early this morning and it's nice to see her in her working attire again. Though not fully recovered from her knee surgery, I believe her work should not affect her recovery. Well, I am always comfortable so long as she is happy and healthy. Cheers!
