The sky is burning...

The weekend is here again. Temperature should rise to 34 degrees Celcius in the afternoon. As both our kids are out, me and Margaret intend to have lunch in town and stay inside those cooling shopping centres till evening. Phew! The sky is burning.............

Uninvited guests at our neighbourhood in transit......

(Look out for our evening edition.)

OK. We had lunch at 2nd Street Cafeteria and shared a plate of Cesar salad with a piece of grille chicken and a 6 inch of El Piccolo pizza. Gosh! Those are our favourites and we would have them once a week. Slurp!!!!

My Immediate Superior

We got a shock when my immediate superior announced that he is leaving for good. He is a competent and no-nonsense leader who is always protective of those working under him. Just when I have adapt myself to his way and style of management, he chose to resign for personal reason. Whatever, I prefer to remember the good times we shared especially the laughters. His last day with us will be on 23 July 2008. Sincerely from the bottom of my heart, Good Luck, Merci and Au Revoir!

'Last Supper' and Euro 2008

Surprise, surprise, surprise! This is one of the rare occasions that I am home early. Since I bought a music DVD from HMV yesterday, I gonna watch it later. Yeah, it features Black Sabbath 'The Last Supper'.

Euro 2008 is back. With so many upsets, the latest with Turkey coming back from the dead and booted Czech Republic out of the running. From the look of it, I fancy Holland to be in the grand final. Marco van Basten rawkzzzz.........

Patrick is back from Hong Kong this evening. Thanks for the assorted cakes. Have a good rest and enjoy your Euro 2008 later. Cheers!

Who the heck cares! To all those poor fathers, 'Happy Father's Day!!'

We are back from a dinner at Ichiban Boshi Restaurant @ Novena Square. Thanks to both Smily and Fyn for that CelioT-shirt and not forgetting Margaret for booking the restaurant in advance. My family rocks! They care.

Dumpling Festival 2008

The Dumpling Festival, also known as the Chinese Dragon Boat Festival, commemorates the death of patrriotic poet Qu Yuan, who committed suicide by leaping into the Miluo River in 278BC. Today is the actual day and we will have a feast of dumplings for lunch.

The Singapore Arts Festival 2008 comes to Toa Payoh with the Mayang Sari Group from Indonesia brought the HDB Hub down last evening. They rocked with their sensational percussion instruments which were loud and powerful. Their music, a fusion of east meet west, was enough for me to head bang along with them. What are you waiting for? Head down to the Toa Payoh HDB Hub for the final session at 6pm this evening. Check it out!!!!!

Scorpion Alive! Took this picture at Plaza Singapura a few days ago. I happened to pass-by and this creature caught my attention at an exibition there. Btw, I am a scorpion too. Please do not come near us for our stings are poisonous. LOL.

What the buzz....1 June 2008

It's the 1st day of a 'holidayless' month. Omg! I just discovered that Singapore is of the few countries in the world with the least public holidays in a calendar year. Yes, the next public holiday is on 9 August 2008. That's the National Day. So for the next 2 months, we would have to struggle day in day out.
Congratulations to my brother Francis Ng for striking the 1st price on last Wednesday 4-D draw. The sad news is that he bought a dollar only. Mm.... the price of $2000 is better than none. Once again, congrats!
Jessie will be on a missionary trip to the Indo-China on 13 June 2008. And yes, Patrick is leaving for Shanghai in the middle of the month on a business trip. Bon voyage!!!
