Relax..........

Ooh la la... thank God for Margaret went for her endoscopy at TTSH and her stomach was fine and healthy. But her persistant bloating and gases in the tummy is still bothering her. From what my family doctor analysed, it's a severe gastric problem which will take some time to recover. She must learn not to be too stressful at work. Relax..................
Tomorrow is the last day of the Hungry Ghost Festival. For those studying, they are having a week school holiday starting tomorrow. Fyn is busy preparing for her school prelim exam after which she will take her 'A' level exam in November 2008. Like her mum, she is also too stress up. My dear daughter, you need to relax a little too. Relax.................
Talking about relaxation, all I need is to pick up my guitar and enjoy playing it. The feeling is heavenly. Relax.......

Chit Chat

Time flies and the Beijing Olympics 2008 is coming to an end with the closing ceremony at 8pm tonight. The 7th Lunar Month is into its last week and not forgetting my pay day this coming Tuesday. Something to look forward to next month, September 2008: Lantern or Mooncake Festival, our 24th Wedding Anniversary, SingTel Grand Prix and Serene maybe back in town.
My phone went heywire for the past few days. It turns off by itself, zoom button faulty and at times unable to read the SIM card. Guess it has nothing to do with the 7th Lunar Month. Haha... Luckily it's still under warranty and it should be ready for collection at the Nokia Service Centre by tomorrow.

More photos from the 1970s

Cool the damn thing down. Yeah, I was told that I shouldn't be that sensitive. Okay, okay, I'll try. Well, the good thing about blogging is that I can release my frustrations in it. And definitely not at the expense of others especially my love ones and good friends. Thank you for the feedbacks.

Some of you were commenting that I am still living in the '80s. It goes without saying that the late '70s and early '80s were the best times of my life. In fact, we were the last generation of the hippism era. Life was easy and carefree. No worry about the future and enjoyed the heavy metal music from Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, Grand Funk Railroad, etc. Best of all, we stayed away from the 'in-thing' at that time DRUGS. Till today, I still get high from those music. LOL.

Yeah, that's me in the 1970s

What's the buzz.... 17 Aug 2008

Arsenal got off to a winning start with a 1-0 win over West Brom in the Barclay Premier League 08/09. Though there are room for improvement in their performance, this win is important and critical. Go for more goals............. Arsenal rocks!!!!!!!!!!

Three cheers to the Singapore Table Tennis team for making it to the Olympic final this evening. No doubt a silver medal is assured, we hope they could beat the mighty Chinese team and return with the gold. The nation will cheer them on at 7.30 pm this evening. Jia you! Jia you! Jia you!

Be Hippie

OMG! I am down with flu. Went to consult my family doctor and was given a few packets of pills to swallow. I wish myself a speedy recovery for Margaret is going for her scanning this Saturday. Her gastric reflux has improved and I pray that she is fine by then.

I have these few 'friends' who keep pestering me to buy them meals every now and then. I confess that I bought them dinner after making a handsome profit from shares quite some time ago. Sad to say, their salaries are higher than mine. Maybe they are footing heavy medical bills at home but that does not mean they can take advantage of others. To those rascals, YOU REALLY SUCK !!!!!!

Happy Birthday, Singapore.

Singapore celebrates it 43rd birthday today. While the National Day parade is still on, I take this opportunity to update my blog. Yesterday was 08.08.08 i.e. 8 August 2008. In Chinese, it means prosper, propsper, prosper. Prosper my foot! Me and Raj shared a $10 bet on the $8 million draw. We got a number correct out of the lot. What a joke! Into the Olympic Games opening ceremony, it was grand and breathtaking... fitting for an emperor. China rawkzzzzzzzzz.........

Zhong Yuen Jie 2008

It's the first day of the 7th Lunar Month, also known as the Hungry Ghost Festival in the Chinese Calendar. Surprisingly, there was a prayer session at my workplace with our 'Ang Moh' big boss leading the session. I couldn't believe my eyes when our Indian colleagues teaching and guiding him too. Like it or not, I joined in to pray for the safety of everybody there. Towards the end, something bad happened. A motorcycle skidded at our entrance, somewhere near our prayer's table. Luckily, it's a blessing that this McDonald delivery boy suffered slight bruise only. We proceeded with the prayer session and returned to work when it ended.

For those not in the know, the 7th day of the 7th Lunar Month is the Chinese Valentine Day. And on the 8th day this year, don't forget the Olympics at Beijing and the S$8 million Toto draw. On the 9th day is Singapore National Day. Dare you say everything during this festival is BAD? Huat Ahhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Are you afraid of the dark????????
