Handphone down

It's super crazy. Now that our fibre net is functioning well, I am able to download pictures and photographs from my desktop again. There's no complain and I am quietly blogging with joy. Hehe...

The bad news is I sent my handphone Samsung Galaxy S3 for servicing. The handset was always heated up and the battery drained very fast. I was advised to leave the set there for a thorough check. Hopefully I can have it back for the Lunar New Year. And no more problem please.

Talking about CNY, I went to the salon for my haircut this evening. Still have so many errands to run and not forgetting spring cleaning at home. Yes, we are getting older by the years. Guess a general clean up is the best we can do to welcome the new year. Arghhhh.......

Hissing from afar

January 2013 is ending. 2013 is no longer that new afterall. Surprisingly, many of us are not aware that come next weekend it's the Lunar New Year. I was reminded by my immediate superior this morning. So was my wife this evening. Maybe we are simply too busy with our work.

Congratulation to my niece Joyce Ng for the safe delivery of her baby boy this morning. What a beautiful ending to the Year of the Dragon. Cheers!!!

We can hear the hissing from afar. The Snake is impatiently waiting for its time. Let's pray that eveyone has a healthy and prosperous year ahead. Huat ahh!!!!

Aim high

An upgraded birthday celebration for my wife Margaret at Marriott Cafe. Needless to say, our son Smily and girlfriend Sheryl joined in. The international buffet had a widespread of food which includes Japanese sashimi, snow crab, oyster, Italian pasta, German Pork knuckle and many others. Though the price was high, we had quality food.

This dinner also gave us the opportunity to keep ourself updated on both Smily and Sheryl working life. They are doing okay but have the ambition to venture further. For they are young, it's good that they aim high. We give them our blessings.

Ready...

cny fire cny firecny firecny fire

Roger couldn't be happier. He is ready to welcome the Lunar New Year with all things new. A long sleeve shirt, a pair of pants and shoes, hankerchief, socks, etc. Courtesy of me and Margaret. We brought him to Robinson Centrepoint for this annual shopping session. No doubt the bill came up to $200 plus, it gives us great pleasure to see him smiling all the way. Like what I said : he ain't heavy, he is my brother.

An early birthday celebration for Margaret with a zhi char dinner at our neighbourhood coffee shop. Simply because Fyn is leaving for the States on 24 January 2013. Smily, Sheryl and my mother-in-law attended the dinner too. Needless to say, I will celebrate with her on her actual day again. Birthday rocks!!!

Birds

They are flying. There's nothing we can do. Once a fortune teller in Hong Kong told us that our children are like birds. They will fly out of our house and disappear for days. Need to say, they will return once they are tired. Home sweet home.

Fyn returned yesterday after five and a half weeks in India. She is resting at home and will be flying to the States on 24 January 2013. This time she will come back somewhere in May 2013. Sigh.... she won't listen to anything disrupting her way. Anyway, she is old enough to know what she wants. I can only wish her Bon voyage and good luck.

Busy or not?

Yes, I am a busy man. At times it's not because of my work. However, I can make way for certain events. They take priority. For example, I attended a good friend's mother wake this evening. However, I am going to give a miss on a causal friend's farewell dinner tomorrow evening. No doubt he is leaving for Australia for good, I do not know him well.

Our daughter should be back from India tomorrow. I wonder how she manage to survive so long over there? Me and Margaret were not as adventurous as her when young. Bet it's not genetics. It's that nowadays youngsters see things different from our generation. Travelling on a plane is just like taking a bus. Maybe that's the reason where we have the word airbus. Whatever, she has to face the real working world sooner or later. Life isn't such a beautiful thing.......

My former teachers

Of course I am still not happy. Having a blog which I can't upload my photos from my computer. Crazy. Maybe I should give up this blog and go for another one. No worry, I shall inform all of you should it happens.

I missed my ex-secondary school class gathering the other day. Thank goodness, Tony sent me pictures of the event. Sadly, I miss the chance to catch up with my former teachers Mr Boey and Mr Nathan. Back then, Mr Nathan left us for a heart by-pass operation. That was the last I've seen him about 35 years ago. Imagine my joy when I received a photo of him. I would be happier if I was there to shake the hands of both my ex-teachers.

Picture insert

I am unable to upload pictures from my desktop. After clicking the insert image icon, I can only upload from the Picasa Web album, the phone, webcam and a URL.Need to consult IT geniuses so that photographs could be uploaded for all to see. Arghhhhhhhh!!!!!!!

We are into the 6th day of year 2013. It's all ordinary, just like any other day. To the Chinese, we are at the end of the Dragon Year. I am sure most of us are starting our preparation to welcome the Snake Year comes 10 February 2013.

An exciting year ahead

It's a new year that comes with a new hope. A fresh new chapter waiting to be written. Guess it's gonna be an exciting year ahead. I sincerely wish everyone stays healthy. Watch our diet, sleep & rest enough and do not over-stress ourself.

Fyn is celebrating the new year in Rajastan, India. Well, she intends to travel as much prior to starting her career. I understand that she will return on 15 January 2013. She is not staying put and will be flying off to the United States to look for her friends on 24 January 2013. Definitely she will celebrate the Chinese New Year there.

Smily and Sheryl are in Genting Highland (Malaysia) for Smily's company retreat. Good luck and hope they bring the whole casino down. By the way, when was the last time me and Margaret last visited there? It must be at least 10 over years. High time for another trip up there.

What a start to the new year for our children! We are not left behind either. The buzz for me and Margaret will be in May this year. Yes, Europe is waiting. The best is yet to be.
