Lunch with Win & TK
Just visited my salon and had my hair trimmed. I have the intention to keep it long but worry I might look old and haggard. Let me try for a month or two and see how it goes. I grew up along with hippism and no longer live there anymore. That sort of lifestyle is history.
Finally we made it. Supposed to have this lunch weeks ago. Unfortunately, everyone was busy. Bak kut teh at the café in Hotel Royal as suggested by brudder Winston was good. Bet you can never get bored when brudder Tuah Kiat is around. With an OCBC credit card, we were offered a free dish of our choice and a free plate of fruits for each of us. This offer is meant for those who spend above $15 in a single bill. Whatever, nothing beat the laughter we had. Sadly, our little sister Lee Hoon could not make it. Well, there is always a next time. Cheers!

Annual leave
The year is coming to an end and as advised by our HR officer, I need to clear my annual leave. We are allowed to bring forward about 5 days leave to next year. Anything more than that, if not utilised will be forfeited. I am trying very hard to have 2 short overseas trips, probably one this month and an another in November. If both don't materialise, I shall go sightseeing at Orchard Road. Anyway, it's a well-known international shopping street with many spent thousands of dollars just to shop here.

What the fish!
Our fridge is full of fishes and we are not complaining. Last Thursday, I bought a few fishes at Pek Kio Market during lunch time since my fridge was empty. Coincidentally on the next day, a family friend went in to Pengarang Johore and bought the fishes fresh from the sea for us too. And today, my younger brother carried a cooler box of fishes all the way from Pontain Johore to my house. Gosh! The last time our fridge was packed was during the Chinese New Year. Since then, we had to buy fishes from our neighbourhood market which is costly and not fresh. Believe me, it's worth paying the money for the fishes from JB. I can keep them in the fridge for a month or so and it's still as fresh and sweet when cook. Excuse me, when is the next time you are going in again? Haha...

Mental illness?
I have seen many friends where everything they do, they must make a profit out of it. It's not that they are poor but unknowingly to them, they are suffering from a sickness which I do not know what it's called scientifically. Sadly, I notice that these people do not have friends too.
In my line, I witnessed many who stole mock-up samples like electrical accessories, sanitary fittings, etc meant for consultants' approval and returned to supplier once the project is completed. Not too long ago, I have a colleague who used to take can drinks home from our office everyday. And there is this guy who used to bring bread home at our office expense. In fact if I were to carry on writing, it can end up with a book.
Are there medicines for these sick people? I really do not know. Most probably it's a mental illness. Hopefully their love ones at home take notice of their behaviour and bring them to consult a professional before they gets worst.

Dental phobia
It's TOP time for my Newton project. BCA officers will be coming down for the inspection tomorrow and hopefully the comments will be minor. We should obtain our TOP by the middle of this month. The handling over team should arrive by next week to prepare and at the same time orientate themselves. Then what the hell am I doing there? Honestly, I don't know. Haha...
It's sure a torture at the dental clinic washing and polishing my teeth this evening. What a relief when it's all over. The gum will be infected should I choose not to go through. Anyway, that's the minimum I can do maintaining my dental health. I performed a David Copperfield magic when they asked me to book an appointment for my next visit in 6 months time. Dental sucks!!!

Give thanks
I happened to pass by Novena Church the other day and saw the 60 anniversary celebration banner. I decided to go in to take a look as the last time I visited was about 30 years ago. No doubt it was a weekday lunch hour, there was a crowd attending a mass. Well, I gave thanks and said a prayer before leaving.
Okay, today is the last day of the 7th Lunar Month 2013. We had our final prayer session at our workplace this evening. Peace and good health to everyone. And here is to those who are waiting, huat ahhhhh!!!!!!!!

My favorite Club buzz
What a beautiful beginning to a wonderful September with Arsenal triumphed over arch-rival Spur by a goal to nil in the London derby last night. It's more like a cup final especially in the last five minutes where the gunners had to defend their solidary goal. Cheers to their team spirit and may they march on to seek the glory they deserved.
The summer transfer will be closed in a few hours time. From the gossips and rumours I have gathered, a few new players will be joining the team. Let's not speculate and let them announce the good news in due course.
