Mum, Hoon Gek Meng, was born 3rd May 1927. She has never celebrated her birthday for she does not want her children to spend money unnecessarily. I have just managed to con her to reveal her birthdate recently. Born a British subject, her Singapore identity card just shows her birth year. Gonna start a small celebration for her this year. Hopefully, she is comfortable with it.Thanks for all these years of love and care, mum.
