The medicines work

OMG! The medicines work. I have recovered 80% and more importantly no more heart burn. The feeling was horrible. Though my tummy is a little bloated on and off but it's bearable. Time will heal.

I have a gut feeling that Arsenal will return empty handed when the new season begins. Despite being linked to all the best players in the market, somehow their clubs are demanding extravagant price for them. The present team which were unbeaten in the latter part of last season is good enough to challenge for trophies. Come on, let the season 2013/2014 begins..... Gunners, fire!!!!

Not so smooth

Oh no.... my gastric reflux is creating havoc. Bad, it's really bad. As a result, I am suffering from indigestion, bloated stomach and heart burn. I prescribe myself medications and hope to get well soon. My body is aching and I have make an appointment with my masseure tomorrow.

It's not going my way these few months. Luck is not on my side. I am not referring to lottery. My health isn't good. Even my toilet water closet is giving me problem. We engage a plumbing company to fix it up and they can only come on 10 Aug 2013. Why take so long? We requested Saturday and they are fully book on 3 Aug 2013. Fortunately, the other water closets are in good condition. Not choice but to wait. Argh......

Ipohno Horfunza

Ipohno horfunza. Take away the Italian accent, it's simply Ipoh hor-fun. I was introduced to this store by Francis Ng, my 3rd brother last year. Since then, I had not returned to Hong Lim Hawker Centre for this dish till today. Sinful but delicious. Like one of my friends commented, once in a blue moon is alright. My wife scolded me when she discovered I had this for lunch. Not because it's unhealthy but for not bringing her along. Oops!!!!! Now I know why multi-media is causing a lot of family problems.

After lunch, I passed by Golden Dragon money changer @ Chinatown Point. I couldn't believe my eyes where the board displayed 'Malaysia Ringgit $2.50'. Definitely a very good rate. Withdrew S$500 and change to ringgit without consideration. Phew! I had MR $1250. You know what? After my turn, they ran out of stock and asked the rest in the queue to return after 2pm. Well, maybe it's my lucky day or the ringgit would continue to slide? Your guess is as good as mine.

Hot season

Let us pray that the haze does not come back. The hot weather together with it are simply too scary to think or imagine. My electricity meter reading had gone up last month and it's not going to be different in the next two months. The hottest month of the year has arrived. Air-con at full blast even at night.

Monotonous

Life is monotonous at this time. Nothing interesting and there is no variety. Sleep, work, home. Even at work, the duty I am covering is not my cup of tea. No wonder the Fengshui  masters predicted a lousy Snake Year for me. I cannot go against the flow and the next best thing is to relax and look after my health. Should there be an opportunity, a short holiday awaits.

Faulty flushing

Thank you Leslie for coming over to help me fix up my cistern flushing system. Unfortunately, the flushing device I bought was faulty. Just plain bad luck.

A short holiday nearby would be welcome for us. But a day before the August public holidays is the beginning of the Lunar 7th Month. That rule us out on going anywhere.

Still no news from Starhub on the coming EPL broadcasting rights. We have about a month to go before the new season starts. Should their deal with Singtel fails, it's too bad. No football channel at home.

JB revisited

Thank you for all the congratulations on our daughter's graduation. Guess we have celebrated enough. Fyn has to move on and we wish her success in her working life.

Me and Margaret went in to Johore Bahru today. What else except food, food, food. Japanese lunch at Kinsahi, Nandos chicken for dinner and in between Baskin Robbins ice cream, Taiwanese mangoes puree with yam taro, Canton-I egg tarts, etc. Okay okay, we are going to be on diet for the next few days. Healthy first.
