I couldn't believe I worked 18 hours yesterday. Working till this morning 2 am, I am aching all over and shagged. A good rub down is all I need. Hehe.. Thank goodness, I am refreshed after 6 hours of sleep. Well, here I am alive and kicking. The children are having their examinations follow by a long vacation. Hopefully they are sensible enough to look for a job and not sit idling by. A correction on Margaret's company Hong Kong holiday trip which is in July instead of May 2010. Talking about holidays, Thomas & family together with Jessie will be leaving for Europe on 3 May 2010. Bon voyage and God bless.
Shark meat fish cake? Yes, a typical Teochew dish that goes well with plain porridge. Margaret learned to cook this dish from my late mother years ago. She was put to the test today and it was almost there except a little salty. With minor adjustment of the ingredients, I am confident that it would be perfect. However, she has mastered the stir fried 'Shark meat with salted vegetable' dish. Sedap! My late mom would have been proud of her. The legacy continues.......
Back to square. My place is a bit run down after 14 years. Margaret got a guy to quote for some simple renovation works like painting, polishing the floor marble and parquet, re-tile the toilets, etc. It came out to about $25 000. Gosh! That's big money. Moreover, we have to move out and find accommodation for a month. As we are getting older, there is a need to control our expenditure. We may not be able to earn as much in the coming years. It is still manageable in the meantime especially with our children studying in the higher education level. Expenses are high. Perhaps a fresh coat of paint will do the trick and the house will look brand new. Of course, a lot of effort to clean the wall tiles, cabinets, etc helps too. Argh........ Oh yes! You wanna help?
A damn lousy feeling but I do not know why. Maybe someone had irritated me at work but this crazy school girl in the train spoiled my evening home. She was singing loudly and dancing all by herself. Definitely, she has mental problem. I could only sympathise with her.Okay, now for the good news. Joseph was discharged from SGH yesterday after going through a series of test. We visited him on Sunday and he seemed well. Hail Mary! Not forgetting well wishers, we thank you. Company trip to Hong Kong in May 2010. Margaret is joining her colleagues for the 5 days vacation there. As for me, it is a good break too. All by myself..... I wanna be......
Gosh! My father-in-law Joseph has been admitted to SGH with pre- stroke. He is in the dependency ward and the medical staff are conducting a series of test to determine the seriousness of his sickness. We are keeping our fingers crossed and pray that he is well.
I know these few people who are cursing and swearing at me behind my back. But it does not bother me for I am not in any way disturbed or affected. For years, I allowed myself to submit to their unreasonable commands and demands. But that does not mean I am weak or coward. To all my 'hypocrite loved ones and friends' who have been looking down , under-estimating and bullying me all these years, bet you are irritated and frustrated by my firm and uncompromising attitude nowadays. Who the heck cares whether you are rich and learned? So long as you go round belittling , created hatred and refuse to respect others, you are just another beast to me.
Gonna take a little time.......... a little time to get over it. It's been a year and I am like a child clinging onto his mother. There is this make believe that she is still living and feeling her presence at times unstable my mental status. I told her to not to be bothered by us for we are no longer young. We should be able to look after ourselves and families. Yes, just let go and rest in peace. Trust me, it's never easy to say goodbye. It is with much regret that I am unable to join my brothers in her anniversary praying session this Saturday. Thank you mother for the blessing showered on us. May peace be with you.

What say you? A 'mid 50s' friend of mine is becoming a father again. This time round with his girlfriend who is in her late 20s. I was quite puzzled for he has grown-up children. Why bother to go through all over again especially when he is heading towards his golden years. I was told that his girlfriend wanted to have a baby before reaching the age of 30. Moreover, he keep saying that he is still young. Guess this is what they desired and there is no turning back now. I sincerely wish them 'all the best and God bless'.
'So you are a musician, I presume you can sing well too', my friend commented. OMG! I am shy to admit that I am a lousy singer though I can write and compose songs. A good musician does not translate into a good singer. My music teacher shake her head when I opened my mouth in primary school. You can imagine............ haha.............A good musician should be able to appreciate and feel all kinds of music. Be it classical, country, blues, jazz, rock, heavy metal, hip hop, rap, alternative rock, etc. Of course it depends on individual preference. For me, I dig into heavy metal. You won't believe that those noisy sound can relax and put me to sleep. Ridiculous but true. Let's rock on.
My deepest condolences to David Tan Ah Chye on his father's passing on. Do take care of yourself and family. Barcelona thrashed Arsenal 4-1 in the return leg of the quarter finals and booted them out of the European Championship. There is no shame in losing to a better team. I am sure all of us agree that the Gunners don't deserve to go any further. Better luck next season. My colleague is flying off on Friday. Siong! I am covering his duties besides working on mine during his 5 days absence. He has good reason to be away and I wish him an enjoyable trip. Bon voyage.
Today commemorates the crucifixion and death of Jesus Christ on the Cross, the act that brought salvation the those who believe. All offices are closed for a public holiday here in Singapore.
April Fool Day returns. Send in the jokers. I am prepared for the worst. Haha.... Hope everyone enjoys this wonderful day.
